He looked so sad. It was like his world was his own and no one else's. And in his world, nothing ever worked out.

That was the first time I had spoken to Devon Fisher. I don't know why I hadn't spoken to him before. I don't know why I felt the need to speak to him that day. But I knew I had to, you know? It was something I couldn't explain. Just like when you get the feeling to take your umbrella out, even when it's sunny.
